Alan Wallen, native of Arivaca, started Arivaca.com from a desire to provide high speed internet service to rural areas. Before forming  Arivaca.com, Alan pursued a job in Tucson within the computer industry.  Commuting became tiresome, and he began to formulate the base idea for creating a rural network. This computer guru was looking for a way to work from home, thus turning a necessity into a job. Arivaca.Com, developed through the individual perseverance of Alan’s dedication, today provides exceptional service to over 200 rural customers.

It couldn't happen without support from our board and many other advisors. The seven member board of directors oversees the operation of this 501C-12 and employs the staff. With over 200 subscribers in Southern Arizona, Arivaca.com is now focused on boosting infrastructure to spread its reach. Besides Arivaca, subscribers are located in the Altar Valley, Sasabe, Amado, Moyza, Elephant Head, and the T'ohono O'Odham reservation.

Anticipating demand for the low cost, high quality customer service we offer, Arivaca.com soon plans to offer service to Sahuarita,  Tubac, Carmen, Tumacacori, Rio Rico and Nogales, Arizona.
